Totaly Unfair ! Arena.Net not off to a good start for us.
I've been counting the days till Guildwars goes live, so few days before that happened I call up my regular game store, they only specialise in games so I figure they'll have it for sure by then.
Called em up ask em to see if they have any Guildwars left and he checks up the records. Few minutes later gets back on the phone and says we have no record or even an estimated date when we will get GW in stock. He tells me he has heard of the game and is also waiting for it, he then suggested that I try other places so I did, none of them even had a estimation of when GW will stock. I've been playing WoW to hold me over till GW comes and now im probaly stuck in WoW for god knows how long till GW is released in Australia. I know a lot of my friends who are very angry aswell that GW wasnt released here. Even Blizzard managed to release WoW in Australia same time as America. So pissed off with (Edit) NCsoft, they are not off to a good start by anyones books in Australia. Its not as if they have to ship millions here, Sydney is the largest city here and has round 6 million ish people. Compare that to only one city in the States. (Edit) Cant change topic name but its meant to say NCsoft. Last edited by Prophet65; Apr 30, 2005 at 04:01 PM // 16:01.. |

Please Don't Flame.
It isn't Arena Nets fault, if anyone, it is Ncsoft's, there the publishers. The standard edition is perfectly stocked in most places. It is only collectors edition wich is expieriencing stock shortages. Regards, Ashleigh. |

i've seen it at ebgames, gamestop, and even my local target has it.
any game i really care about playing, i've always pre-ordered. instead of waiting and hoping that your stores will carry it, why don't you just order it? amazon has no shipping fees for anything over $25 |

Finally, a CE that actually feels like a CE. I saw mounds of the WCIII CE at the store after I pre-ordered mine. Now I'm pissed I didn't order the CE for this.
You can probably get the standard edition anywhere. |

I'm facing a related problem here in Thailand and I'm well aware that ArenaNet are not responsible for publishing or distribution, so save your flames for people complaining about how slow it is to level.
About a week ago I asked ArenaNet if they could tell me who the distributor in Thailand is so that I can contact them to find out when it will be available, but they didn't bother to respond. I've also asked NCSoft, but they too haven't bothered to respond. It is also possible to buy the game online and download it from www.plaync.com but they won't let me buy it because I'm in Thailand. All it takes is a short email to give me an answer or direct me to the person who could tell me - that must be too hard. If anyone knows staff at either company who respond to emails, be sure and let me know. |

Gaile and Ghostraptor both post on the fansites, there's probably a thread floating around here with information and questions about obtaining the game on the forums.

an austrailian that i know seems to be under the impression guild wars is out over there within the next two weeks. So it may not be long. This is NOT, of course, an official 'yes its out next week' so please dont take it as that

I know that they set up a deal with EBgames to sell GW over in Australia- you might want to check out EB games or their website and see if they have any copies for sale.

I know it's in EB in Australia, and there are also multiple online shops in Australia that you could have preordered from. I did my preorder through www.gamesmarket.com.au They were very prompt in sending out my preorder package, and I'm expecting the game in the mail tomorrow.

NCSoft made some really stupid deal with EBGames, making it the only store that would carry GW for the first few weeks, or something like that. I really feel sorry for all you Aussies down there. Anet is great, but NCSoft is one of the worst companies.
